RACE Matters Web Redesign
SLO(W) Rainbow: San Luis Obispo Museum of Art’s new mural wraps around the building, designed for approach from any direction. Each wall's orientation contributes to the overall story, featuring seasonal narratives, local landmarks, and botanical elements. The mural pays tribute to the Museum's architecture and natural surroundings, aiming to engage visitors in a thoughtful experience. Reflecting local colors and locations, it celebrates the beauty of everyday encounters and the community's collaborative spirit.
Leah Rosenberg uses different art forms like painting, sculpture, and video to help people see and feel color in new ways. She wants to show how color can affect our emotions and thoughts in our daily lives.
Based in San Francisco, Rosenberg is a renowned artist with work in SFMOMA’s permanent collection. She also served as the lead pastry chef at the museum's café, creating desserts inspired by the art. Her recent exhibition at SFMOMA featured a site-specific wall painting.
Rosenberg received a BFA from Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver, BC and an MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
